Week One in Argentina
Hola
So I'm still alive and some what healthy little sick but its not to bad. Ha So I don't even know where to start in this email, My companion is from Brazil and doesn't speak a lick of english.
I don't know if everyone heard but I'm in Formosa its a suburb and its one of the poorest parts of the country. People with alot of money here live in a concrete house and the poor people live in houses made of trash... There super small to like 10 by 10 is big... its hot it smells like dog crap and super ghetto but i love it! Its super hard though cause I didn't learn what ever there speaking here. They all speak some indian spanish and just mumble really. The little boys and girls here love me though cause they've never seen a different color of eyes besides brown and I'm just 6 foot 1 of whiteness. I already had my first baptism. There are dogs everywhere its crazy, and all you have to do is make some whistle noise with your mouth and they run hahaha its crazy ha well I don't know what all to say cause i have hardly talked much. I gave a blessing to a lady. Its been crazy fun,
Some little kid about Trevors age called me bad names ha that was hard not to say anything and idk alot of the people here dont like the missionaries, And I stick out like a sore thumb ha every one around here drives motos.. aka moped ha it sounds like the Giles camp out 24/7
It gets a little cold at like 3 am. Our apartment is like the size of our shed but to stacked on top of each other. Yeah getting a little sick. Today its like 100 degrees ha it rained all day Sunday I had to talk in church... that was hard. only like 20 people in the ward. I spoke on Ether 12 .27 having faith in christ.
Its super diffrent here. I'm sure glad I have what I have. Its amzing here though. I cant wait tell I can talk to you though... I'm liking it here... Just remeber get on your knees when ever you can cause the lord is listening just need to pray and talk with him
And I thought this was cool but idk if I should tell you I got on the bus the other day and there was bullet holes in the window. People here dont like guns so I'm not worried... and we have phones and Elder Kailen Johnson called me yesterday it was nice to hear english.I Love you guys.. alot. Tell the boys to work hard and keep there heads up cause that little bit of work in your life now teaches you alot! Talk to you guys next week
Love Elder Seamons
